RadioFrequency MicroNeedling

Radiofrequency microneedling combines two effective technologies: microneedling and radiofrequency energy. During the treatment, ultra-fine needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin’s surface. At the same time, radiofrequency energy is delivered into the deeper layers of the skin.

These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing process, promoting the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential for maintaining skin firmness and elasticity. The radiofrequency energy further enhances this process by heating the deeper layers of the skin, leading to additional collagen remodelling and skin tightening.

Overall, radiofrequency microneedling helps to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, minimize acne scars, shrink enlarged pores, and enhance overall skin tone and firmness. The treatment is minimally invasive and typically requires minimal downtime, making it a popular choice for individuals looking to rejuvenate their skin without undergoing more aggressive procedures.

FAQ

How Long Does It Take for Results to Show?

This varies from individual to individual. You are likely to see results within couple of weeks following the first treatment, however improvements will then continue and optimum results will show approximately 3 months post treatment, due to the stimulation of your own natural collagen and elastin which take a while longer to become visible.

This treatment can be used to target concerns to both face and body:

  • full face including eyes
  • neck and décolletage
  • hands and arms
  • stomach and back
  • thighs and buttocks.
Can I Combine This With Other Treatments?
Yes! We use a skin booster during each treatment (SkinKo-E) as well as Dermalux LED light therapy following treatment to support with wound healing.
What Concerns Can It Be Used to Treat?
This treatment can tackle a variety of concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles, skin laxity and tone, scarring, stretch marks, enlarged pores, skin texture and overall skin rejuvenation.
How Many Treatments Do I Need?
We recommend a course of treatments to achieve maximum results, generally beginning with three treatments, approximately 4 weeks apart.
Will I Be Suitable for the Treatment?
We are unable to treat if you have a compromised skin barrier; active acne, open wounds. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you are diabetic.

Full consultation would be necessary prior to booking treatment, where we will go through all aspects of medical care to ensure that there are no contraindications as well as this being the most appropriate treatment to address your concerns effectively.

Does It Hurt?
The level of discomfort experienced during radiofrequency microneedling can vary from person to person and depends on individual pain tolerance. However, most patients report feeling mild to moderate discomfort during the procedure. Before the treatment begins, a topical numbing cream is usually applied to the treatment area to help minimise any discomfort. The sensation may feel like tiny pricks or heat as the needles penetrate the skin and the radiofrequency energy is delivered. We are able to manage and lower the intensity from both the RF energy and needle depth to support in managing discomfort. Overall, while some discomfort may be felt, it is generally well-tolerated by most individuals.
