Chemical Peels

Transform Skin with Advanced Chemical Peel Treatments

Chemical peels are one of the oldest cosmetic treatments performed, dating back to ancient Egyptian times when, natural acids derived from fruit and milk were applied to the skin in the name of beauty.

A medical peel involves the careful application of a chemical exfoliant to the epidermal layers of skin specifically for the removal of superficial lesions, blemishes, fine lines, reduction of large pores and acne, thus improving texture of the skin. The nature of the compound, the concentration of the chemical and the level of time in contact with the skin determines the depth of penetration and the level of peeling. This is a cost effective treatment, to improve the health and radiance of the skin. A deeper peel will address scaring, deep lines, skin laxity, pigmentation issues and more.

Chemical Peel Treatment

Not all chemical peels are the same. Chemical peels run a range of different types of products that can be used, and there’s a big difference in how deeply the chemical that’s being applied affects the skin.

Medium-depth peels generally use trichloroacetic acid at concentrations of 35 percent or less. These types of peels usually use a pure form of the acid that isn’t neutralised, and they aren’t typically available for beauty facials.

Medium-depth peels can help treat skin that has a significant amount of photo damage, sun spots, mild to moderate acne scars, crepey skin under the eyes or dark circles.
